Bentley Family Scholarship
The Federated Church of East Arlington offers the “Bentley Family Scholarship” to honor the Bentley Family who were lifetime members of our community and church. This scholarship was established by the Trust of June A. Bentley who taught music and business in Arlington Schools and who believed in developing the potential that each of us has within us. Selection is made on the good(not necessarily excellent) grades, community service and need. Candidates for the scholarship can be any deserving student, or students, of the Arlington, Vermont area, or members of the Federated Church, who desire to further, or is furthering his or her education beyond high school.
The criteria for this scholarship shall NOT be based solely on academic scholarship, but also on the inability of a student to acquire higher education without the benefit of this scholarship assistance.
It is not a requirement that the recipient of any scholarship assistance re-pay any scholarship assistance received, but if he, or she desires, he, or she may repay at his, or her option, any or all of the scholarship awarded to him or her; thus making funds available for future students.
The scholarship application must be completed and received by April 15th.
